Transgender Day

From 2:30 - 4:30 PM members, friends, and family will be volunteering to clean up Haven Hill Cemetery followed by a Transgender Day of Remembrance memorial vigil from 5:00 - 6:00 PM at the Carle Fitness Trail at the Olney City Park. All who attend are  encouraged to bring a picture or memento of someone they have lost.
Following the vigil, everyone is welcome to share a free Thanksgiving meal from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at the Olney Memorial VFW Post 4226 with a welcoming and loving “family of choice."
Free 2 Be
Pride Richland County hosts a community program fittingly named "Free to be". They are a support group that meets twice a month for young adults ages 13-21, no matter their orientation or identity. Free to be group talks about the struggles in everyday life and coping with obstacles we often face during our time of self-discovery. We discuss healthy vs. healthy relationships, self-image, and the biases and stigma's so many of our youth and young adults are facing today. If you're interested in learning more about our "Free to Be" program, you can reach us by email at priderichlandcounty@gmail.com.
